Getting my real estate license has been a long-time dream of mine.
When I graduated college last June, the first thing I did was register for the real estate course. Next, I started to envision my future in Real Estate.
While I was preparing to obtain my license, Re/max results realty hired me for an administrative position.
This was a blessing in disguise & continues to be an amazing opportunity. I have learned so much about the industry & how a brokerage operates during this time. With a first hand look behind the scenes, I now have knowledge that a regular real estate agent may never gain in their career. Being submersed at a brokerage level, it allows me the ability to listen to & witness the “behind the scenes” work that goes into what being a successful real estate takes & how to run a first class brokerage.
Fast forward a year, and I now find myself working alongside an awesome team doing their admin work & client care tasks.
Sounds like everything has gone according to plan right? Wrong. I still don’t have my license!
After studying for almost a full year, I was ready to ace the exam and finally get licensed.
It was so close, but then the Covid-19 reared its head.
This pandemic came around and caught so many by surprise.
Like almost everything else in our worlds, my exam was cancelled and moved to a later date to be determined.
Bigger things are going on in the world around us & that has put things into perspective. There was no time to dwell on the disappointment. I felt so fortunate to have a job through all of this & still having the ability to work toward my goal.
As of today, my exam is scheduled for August.
Looking back, there is actually a wave of gratitude that I feel from having been able to work with LMMA during it all. They have shown me the ropes and taught me so many things during this time. Thanks to them, I will hit the ground running and make up for lost time before the end of Summer.
